  • Two Hour Photo Shoot - ¥38,000 (about US$250) plus guide's expenses* (1 Location) 
  • Half-day Photo Shoot (4 hours) ¥65,000 (about US$430) plus guide's expenses* (2~3 Locations)  
  • Full-day Photo Shoot (7 hours) ¥95,000 (about US$625) plus guide's expenses* (3+ Locations)

Photo Tours and Photo Lessons

  • Half-day Tours (4 hours) ¥38,000 (about US$250) plus guide's expenses*                     
  • Full-day Tours (7 hours) ¥65,000 (about US$430) plus guide's expenses*
  1. *Guide's expenses: The guide's expenses include: Transportation costs after meeting you; entrance fees to temples, etc; lunch on full-day excursions. These expenses are generally paid for on-the-spot. 
  2. Fees are the same regardless of how many members are in a group. This is not a per-person fee. However, the group size is limited to 5 people. 

Payment

  • Credit Card Payment is made online using PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account. There is a 10% service charge for credit card payments.
  • U.S. Dollar shown above are for reference only. They are approximate and are based on exchange rates as of November 2023. Exchange rates change daily. Please use the XE Currency Convertor to find up to the minute exchange rates for all world currencies.
  • Tours outside of Kyoto City are possible at additional cost.

Logistics

How to Book a Photo Shoot / Tour
  1. Contact me via email and I reply as soon as possible.
  2. We will plan your photo shoot / tour together, either with a 15-minute scheduled phone call. (Zoom, WhatsApp, FaceTime, iMessage, LINE, Signal, Skype and regular phone calls are OK). or via email. 
  3. We will meet on the scheduled day in the lobby of your hotel lobby or another location agreed upon earlier.

Planning
  • Skype calls are the most effective way to plan your tour. 
  • When will you arrive in Kyoto? What would you like to see? What is your photography experience?
  • The tour group size is limited to 5 people. This allows for a more enjoyable experience. Larger groups are possible at additional cost. Contact me for more information.
  • Transportation:  We may use a combination of trains, buses, taxis and walking, depending upon the situation.

Kimonos and Special Clothing
  • I do NOT arrange traditional Japanese kimono rentals for photo shoots. Clients need to make those arrangements by themselves.

    I will work with you to schedule your photo shoot after your kimono fitting appointment (which can take up to two hours to put for hair, make-up and kimono).

Questions for You
  • Do you have any dietary restrictions? On full-day excursions, we will stop for lunch at around midday. 
  • Do you have any mobility issues? Usually we do a lot of walking,  but I can adapt your tour accordingly.
Photo Delivery for Photo Shoots
  • Unedited JPEG photo data on SD Card will be given to you the end of your photo shoot.  
  • The last 30 minutes of our time together will be spent transferring data and reviewing the photos.  
  • I will keep a backup copies of your photos in case there is a problem with the SD Card.

When to Book a Tour?
  • Please book your tours as far in advance as possible, especially during the peak times in the April and mid-November / early December. My schedule can fill up quickly.
  • But don't be afraid to contact me on short notice. My schedule is fluid. It is possible to contact me and have a tour on the same day. I check my email first thing in the morning.

  • If you do call and I don't answer, please be patient. It takes a while for the voicemail to pick up. I will get back with you as soon as possible.
Tour Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel a tour because of unforeseen events, please do so in as far advance as possible.
  • If you cancel on the day before the scheduled date, we ask that you pay 50% of the tour fee.
  • In case of a same-day cancellation, or a "no-show", we ask that you pay 100% of the tour fee.
